Notarization is a procedure of authenticating a document — a licensed Notary Public witnesses the signing, verifies the identity of the person signing, and confirms they understand what they’re signing, then applies an official seal. In Pakistan, only a licensed Notary Public can carry out this attestation.

What Is Notary Public Attestation?
A Notary Public is appointed by the government as a public official whose role is to help prevent fraud in important documents and transactions. When you have a document notarized, the Notary Public witnesses you signing it, verifies your identity, confirms you understand what you’re signing, and then applies an official seal — creating a documented, verifiable record that the signing genuinely happened, by the person it claims to be.

People often use these terms interchangeably, but they’re different steps carried out by different authorities, and a document may need one, the other, or both depending on where it’s going.

Send Scanned Copies
Send clear scanned copies or photographs of the document, along with a valid CNIC, NICOP, or passport for identity verification.
Video Verification
Connect with us via video call. You’ll show the original document to the camera, and we’ll verify your identity and witness the signing.
Attestation and Delivery
The Notary Public applies the official seal, and you receive the completed document as a scanned PDF, or by courier through TCS or another suitable delivery service — wherever you’re located.

Notary Public Attestation — Common Questions
Is this an online-only service?
Yes. Notarization is handled entirely online, from identity verification to delivery of the completed document. The one exception is affidavits, which legally require an in-person appointment — see the section above for why.
Do I still need to show my original document?
Yes, this is still mandatory even though the process is online. During the video verification call, you’ll show the original document to the camera alongside the scanned copies you’ve sent — it’s a legal requirement to prevent fraud through altered or fabricated copies.
How will I receive my notarized document?
As a scanned PDF sent to you digitally, or as a physical copy by courier through TCS or another suitable delivery service, wherever you’re based. Tell us which you’d prefer when you send your document.
Why can’t affidavits be notarized online?
Swearing an affidavit is a formal act that legally requires the physical presence of the officer administering the oath. It’s the one document type our online service can’t cover, and it needs an in-person appointment instead.
What’s the difference between notarization and an apostille?
Notarization is carried out by a licensed Notary Public and confirms who signed a document and that they understood it. An apostille is a separate authentication issued by Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for documents going to a Hague Convention country. Depending on your destination, you may need one, the other, or both.
How much does notarization cost?
The fee depends on the type and number of documents. Tell us what needs to be notarized and we’ll confirm the exact cost before you proceed.
Can I use this service if I’m overseas?
Yes. Because the process is entirely online, it works the same way regardless of where you’re based — the completed document can be delivered to you as a scanned PDF, or by courier if you need a physical copy.
